and hardest is Tower in my experience.
Now Underground is another story.The only way I won is by recruiting that Demoniac hero lvl 55 that Green plays with, after I defeated all in the above world.With him is really easy win.With necro all the way I couldn't defeat only the last castle.Near 350 000 skeletons weren't enough:)

It's a pity that this map doesn't suit you at all. But I'm still not intended to make any changes. A map cannot satisfy all the players. An author's basic right is to determine his own work.
This map is originally made by Thunderbird and has a thorough walkthrough in Chinese forum, made by Sillybird. I modified it and created a harder version, this is the Legend of Heroes. However, Sillybird said it was completely not difficult in the above world and he only got stuck in the underground. He captured all towns and defeated all heroes in the above ground within Month 1, with only one a little tough, himself said, because that one can cast Expert Dispel, and eventually finished in Month 2. His comment is "interesting and underground a little chanllenging". Also pitifully, his walkthrough can't help you at all -- because you can't read Chinese.
Nonetheless, I myself don't like this map very much, because I think Thunderbird doesn't devote much diligence to it and does simply so-so.
If you go searching my another map "Fountain of Doom" and try it, you'll find this map a lot harder than this one. But you may want to know several interesting comments that some players made on this map. I don't remember clearly, but I still remember one of them wrote longer and longer, finally over one thousand words.
Lastly, I recommends one of my favorite top three: Where the Beauty. I adapt this one from Hans C.'s map and love it best. Though Where the Beauty is entirely much more difficult than Legend of Heroes, this map has a soft beginning. The above ground is really not difficult at all, with endless money supply and movement gift. After playing you'll know it. The underground will be a big chanllenge and the ending parts are incredible. The playing rhythm will process to be tighter and tighter.

Im a magic guy and willing to deal with armies so much more stronger than mine. Magic equivalents 10 times of might (army power) for me. It is much delicious in this way, reloading the autosave again and again, developing different and fresh magic strategies. But, if the enemy hero begins with 60's at all primary skills (while you have 10's) and with an army of zounds in all slots, attacks you in early weeks, casts fast spell at the beginning of the war and kills all your troops in first round without letting you get turn even for once, we may talk about some imbalance.

Of course Where the Beauty is very satisfying, I think. I've updated five Goddesses in it, and the battle with the Goddess of Jealousy and Venom, Medusa, must be...Eh, you can try it yourself and see what will happen.
I'm now working on Princesses, you know. I believe this one can be better even than Where the Beauty both in story and map designs. Sure perfect English one, look forward for it. Oh I pour my ideas into this map and it is TRULY tough for me, the mapmaker.

Author: Aeris (China), 27-09-2011 18:50 Well Translation sometimes may be rather difficult and no use when there is no "tieba", "bayou" and "yingba" in English. Even translated into English, the narrative makes no sense to players. They'll consider it ridiculous. So just let it be it.
However, my next map, Princesses, already made partly, is surely narratived in standard English and the story will be like a novel, a astonishing one.

All of the quests basicly ask for hero with specific flag(green,orange etc)to pass or they ask for specific artifact
or for money or resources.So no problem
with chinese at all.At day 3 strong orange hero comes through gate and you have to deal with him somehow.
I played like 10 of these famous chinese maps incl.Dragon Slayer and this one is top of my list.
It requires so much strategy and patience and is borderline-insanly hard.
BTW I played without Wogify as I thought it was Sod map.Had no problem with anything.

I know very well the chinese H3 community, for spending great moments on their forums. They have an awesome community and created top maps, from which I learned a lot of things. When I wanted to make known their achievements to the world wide, I took 4 months and translated their best wog map into english, and I know how hard is. So if any one them can upload for us already translated maps, I will be for ever indebted. Until then, I just can't play them.
Almost all of us made the effort of releasing english maps. Not always easy, but helpful.

Secondly, it is WoG but not scripted, so any general scripts will change the outcome and strategies. Third, if using WOG, it makes me smile when I see 20 events x 9999999 experience, when this can be given via one line script. Forth, anyone here can read chinese? The text does not seem huge, what about a short translation so we can try it? :)
