Odd playing - Davids story part 1
Why do you say that the map is weirdly tuned when you are playing the map wrong? I cant get my head around as soon as someone fails a map it is the maps wrong "It cant be mine"
If you prefer waiting several years to gather enough armies please do so else play it as it is supposed to be played.

i was doing fine till the part about beating the elem guardians, all of a sudden really big armies show up. i passed some months to get good armies back at my town beat em fine now theres the 3 necromancers plus the other death guy with huge armies to kill all 4 i feel ill need to wait up 20 more months order to get 200 angels or so. just feels weirdly tuned

Hi Martin,

Don't take it personally. Some people leave pretty nasty comments more or less with the "too difficult" theme being one of the popular ones. I think, Baron just jumped the gun a bit and saw your comment that way, even though it wasn't necessarily poorly phrased.

In regards to your original question, you are supposed to be able to win these fights without having to wait. This is a rule of thumb for map makers, and while some of them fail at properly balancing difficulty, it's much more often than not that you just don't see a tactic that would allow you to win a specific fight without having to wait for more troops.

Idiots are born everwhere even in Canada - Davids story part 1
Fantasy game and maps? Did you expect them to be realistic??? or even match your supreem IQ. Well no problem, there will be no more maps from me, so one less for you to bother about, But I must wonder, you started one of my maps that you with your high IQ failed. That map has the same kid book style as DS1 and in Journey for life you are also supposed to follow a scripted line, then you heads on to the next of my maps, I guess you failed this one as well. Search on this site on "Baron" there are several of my kids book work as well. You can start them all and fail them also and give them a lovely 1 in score. Ahh why even bother to start them, fail them before starting them. Everthing here is for free and so is your opinion.
A 20 second opinion from a fool that starts a kids map and fails it. This is just too much for me. I will ask site owner to remove my stuff for children.
I am so sorry for all of you that likes my maps but this is just not worth it.

The monks can not be upgraded at all in this map, due the existence of Monks of Torheim. If I allowed upgrading then you could create Zealots and as this maps wog-settings allows upgrading to higher beings such as the Zealots could be upgraded to "War zealots" and they in turn in this map is transformed directly to "Monk of Torheim" even stronger then War zealots, so having the ability to create this Zealots would not be any good at all for the map,
The Angels upgrade will come later in the game if all is as it should.

There are a few issues maybe only one adressed to this map due bugs in WOG
What I know of is that Paulina can vanish after been given her quest, If you finds the cloak and tries to give it back to her and a none existing Paulina (whom will repay you with Helm of Heanvenl.....) is not there. It's a bug.
I often is send a savegame from people that is in need. And that savegame is mostly done from Homm3 ERA, Obvilously you can play WOG maps
in ERA but when I gets the Savegame I gets an error (I don't use ERA) when loading the game and all my scripting(coding) is totally gone, meaning any house, quest guard, unusual character.. all of that is non excisting in a normal Homm3 game as I cant see, so I have to guess,

I gets the question from time to time when part two will be finished. One thing is that I have completed about 40-50% on part 2 and have started building on part 3 (the ideas and the story) This was some years ago. But due hmm sorry Its none of your buisness. I took another path. Davids story part 1 was released 6 years ago whatever this websites claims it to be and my map building probably ended 5 years ago.

Walkthrough - Davids story part 1
Davids story 1 - Walkthrough

It will not tell all to be told, but I will tell how to play the map to
its end. All other exploring is up to yourself.

Episode 1:
Go see the brother to help mend the broken wagon.
Head towards the dwarf, in dungeon go and release the three monks
Kill the dwarf guard. Go and visit Elleshar. Exit the dungeon. Go
get the Inexhaustible cart of lumber go back to the brother.
Path is cleared, Go see Hector then find your way through the woods
to Samuel and then head to Bragan.

Episode 2:
Follow the Captains advise and find your new quarters just north of town.
Then go back to Captain and win the trainings. Follow Captains advise,
Then go see the mayor in Town hall to get Ragnar and Ulrik quest. Go see those
two chaps and solve the quest meaning killing Ragnar, do not keep the horn.
Go back to Town hall.

Go see Paul the baker and follow his request starting with visiting the miller
and then the stonecutter, after visiting stoncutter (whom is not at home)
You will find him fishing south east, just outside town, there is a sign in
town that says "Fishing ponds" go through the hidden path there and you will
find the stoncutter. Head back to the miller now in the mill, then go to Paul
the baker. Go see mayor again in town hall and then back to Captain Hanibal.

Head through the West town gate and then north until you reach the outpost
marked on the map. Enter the battle and fight three fights. Talk to archers
search skeleton and then talk to archers again. You get amongst all Wizards
well. From Captain Hanibal, go see Samuel in the forest who will give useful
magic to the ring. Then find Sergeant Frank in town, start at his house then
head to Bragan tavern. Go see Durban north of Town (If you havent already)
Acitvate finding the Vial of dragon blood. Head out the west gate again.
Where the sign of Heerons crossing is Frank will awaken. Let him kill the
three dragons to the east of road on your way to the outpost again Frank is
capable to do it himself, drop of Frank and go back to Hanibal, who sends
you to General Ortega. First go see Durban and give him the Vial, you will
get a new quest to find. Everpouring vial if mercury, Vial of Lifeblood and
Pendant of total recall. Then go see General Ortega, you will get to him
from the stables in south of village. Get the troops from Ortega, go back to
town visit Count Erwing whom needs you to see Lady Martha. Go see Martha then
back to Erwing you now must find a dragons heart.
Get it from the black dragon west of town. Then give it to Erwing and you will
receive Pendant of total recall.

Go to Mysterious house west of town, The necromancer needs a specific person.
That person is Hudson the butler, go see him and then back to the necromancer.
He now gives you Vial of Lifeblood. Go back to Durban as we will not find
Everpouring vial of mercury until later in game. Durban settles with the two
artefacts and sends you to Hanibal. Hanibal sends you to John Brannigan whom
needs you to investigate what has happened with his gold, go out east of town
and follow the road until you reach the castle ruins, Visit the ruins. There
is a hidden path in the woods to the west, get the gold you see there continue
west, northwest in the forest and visit the wagon. There is a sub. gate north
of the wagon, enter it, take the gold and go back to Brannigan. Go see Elise the
servant whom tells you about her son Robert who was involved in Brannigans doings.
Now go to Captain Hanibal again and you are telported to Heerons crossing, the
road south is now open. Go there, you will see a man (rogue), follow him, there is
a hidden sub. gate in the mountains enter it and save the game.
Undergound you will meet Lord Thorim. For fun accept his offer and then head
to the mayor, when done. Reload the game and refuse Thorims offer. Go to the
mayor and episode 3 starts your castle is revealed south of Bragan.

Yanis the bricklayer.
Visit him now and he will build a monastery for you in you castle.

Steckar the mapmaker
Seeks ring of vitality, you will find it in Bragans jewlery of magic
Take it back to Steckar whom reveals where Ring of light is to be found
most south of Bragan. See Steckar again before you leave, he now needs
a Speculum

Armin the butcher.
Seeks Ivan the hunter.

Sean the winemaker
He has run out of grapes, you need to see Martin southwest of Bragan
to get the reward

Calwin the woodcutter
will help you clearing 2 wood areas around your castle, but you need to
visit the area first, (You will do it on your way to your new castle)
You need to pay him total 10100 gold.

Olaf the blacksmith gives Greater Gnolls Flail

Artie the wagonmaster sells Inexhaustible Cart of lumber, buy it.

Armory gives Breastplate of petrified wood

Wendys shop sells spell book for 5000, get it.

Episode 3:
Head southwest of Bragan on your way you will encounter this.
A message about the woods, go back to Calvin and he will clear the path for you
in this cleared path you will find some mines to take, do it.

Farmer Giddeon.
He needs help with his Unicorn. There is a Unicorn wating to join you
First you need to find the green tent as you needs to pass a green guard
east of bragan, then walk on a hidden path south until you reach the
unicorn. Make sure you have room for it or else the quest will fail.
The green tent is directly east of your castle and can be reach after
Calwin the woodcutter has cleared the woods (path to green tent).
When Unicorn is found give it to Giddeon.

Martin the wine grower.
Martin has problems with thieves as come every night.
He needs your help to find out what happens during night.
To do this you need a Ring of light, Steckar has revealed on map
where it is to be found, but get some troops first

Alchemists lab (a little north of your castle)
He needs ore to produce mercury. Southwest of your castle is a sub. gate
Enter it and you will find an ore pit, tell the alchemist about it and
he will give you Everpouring vial of mercury. Now you have all three
items that Durban needed, give it to him.

Ore Pit (A little bit directly north of your castle)
After visiting this you can head back to Bart the miner in Bragan whom
will activate the Ore pit, before you head back to Bragan complete the
alchemists quest.

Durban the wise.
After giving him the three artefacts Durban gives you an amulet of
teleporting, this is very important for your game. By right clicking the
equipped artefact it lets you teleport to found telporting stones.
After that he gives you another quest. He has dropped his crystal ball.
You can see it north of Durbans place. Before going after it you needs
gather some troops, teleport to your castle.

Head east of castle. The green tent is guarded by some Scorpicores, but you dont
need to fight them yet. Instead you can go to the spot Steckar revealed for you,
a hidden path in the woods/mountain southwest of green tent. Get the marksmen
Then continue, you will stumble on the Ring of light. Gather some troops and go
to Martin. Make sure the ring of light is equipped before talking to Martin.
Then you will see the thives, finish them off and go to Sean the winemaker. IMPORTANT
WALK to Bragan after you finished Martins problems as this will trigger next quest

Go to Bragan Church
Needs you to go to Abbot Thomas, place marked north on map.
The quest is triggered when walking from Martin to Bragan.

After passing through Sergeant Franks outpost, there is a Quest guard to
the right, leave it for now and continue north. Path splits, taking the right
path will lead you to Ivan the hunter, go get him. Go back and take the left path
You will see a teleporting stone, visit it. Then continue north to the monastery
and talk to the abbot. Visit the l. blue tent far north. Hidden in the mountains
you will find Helm of chaos that is useful to increase spell points
Head back down the path south again. Pass through the l. blue guard, there is
a skeleton here, search it and you will find the speculum for Steckar.
Go back to the path and head south.
Now, pass the quest guard to the right into the swamp.

Swamp:
Drink from well often. First reveal southwest part of swamp by just walking down.
Waterwalk directly east from questguard, then north, pull the lever then walk back.
Drink from well.
Waterwalk souteast then southwest to lever, make sure you can do this in one turn,
pull lever. Walk back to well and drink. Keep doing so until you reach the most
southeast well in swamp. Waterwalk north pass the monolith (It's a fake).
Continue north to reveal map on east swamp until you see the east lever.
Waterwalk to this lever. Go back and then north again. Visit Oracle in the swamp.
Who gives you the true name of the mayor in Bragan, Aaron Fitspanties. Northwest
of oracle is another lever pull it. This opens the path to the wyverns you see
south of you, go there and get what is there. Go to exit YOU MUST VISIT the
Quest guard every time when leaving to get your boots back, check your inventory.
Go to the mayor in Bragan, then Captain Hanibal.

Episode 4:
Go see Ron the carpenter.
Go see Steckar give him the speculum and he will tell you about a hidden path 12
steps north or your castle, go there and enter the sub. gate. Collect all items
and equip the helmet on your commander.
Head east from your castle, now kill the Scorpicores that guards the green tent,
continue east to the bridges, Waterwalk to Oracle he gives you the name Urtacon.
Remember it and use it at the next Oracle at Dry Valley.

Visit Desert tent, he like his genie back. Head south of tent towards the genie,
take the fight and continue this way until you see the genie standing on fire.
You must visit the oasis and then the genie in one turn, if you dont you will
burn to death. After catching the genie, go back to the tent and you will have
the key you need to pass the gate just south of Bragan, go there.
Go see the boatbuilder and buy a boat for 50 000. Left of the sign "a s g"
is a hidden path in the mountains, at the end you will find 50 000 gold.
After purchasing the boat now placed in the swamp north of Bragan, use it to
get to Durbans missing Crystal ball. On your way to the swamp kill the
sharpshooters before the outpost and visit the red tent, be careful touching
the gold here.
Give the Crystal to Durban whom teaches you Summon boat.
Time to get the unicorn make sure you have one empty slot for the unicorn.
Head east of Bragan and pass the green guard. Continue south on hidden paths
until you reach the unicorn, get it and give it to Farmer Giddeon whom will
reward you.

Now go back to where the boatbuilder lives and summon a boat here, sail pass
the red gate. East you will find a Q. guard whom needs 10 000 Mercury.
That amont is located in this area you are in now 10 piles with 1000 mercury
in each is to be found, get them and pass the guard. Visit Elleshars home
and he will tell your fathers real name, Arden. There is a hidden path in the
mountains the sign says "Mountain passage" follow this path southeast, then
west here you will find the last of mercury, get it and go back to Q. guard
whom wants it. Get the joining troops and in the farmers field you will find
Ogre's Club of Havoc. Go to the Oracle whom seeks your fathers real name,
west of here give Arden to oracle and he lets you pass right through him.
Behind him is a Monolith go there and visit the dark blue tent. Now go back
to mountain passage southeast of here, pass through mountains summon boat and
pass the d. blue guard. Sail as far as you can then land and waterwalk if needed.
You will reach a sign that speaks about the guardians. You will need the
names of four elements and two magic persons. Do not visit any statues here until
you have the names, the fights are easy at start but they will double in strength
for every wrong answer you give. Entering the gate (S. gate) without given the
six names means immediate death. North in this area is a teleporter take it.

Episode 5:
Go see the "Master of elements" he will charge you to find the name of Air
guardian. Visit teleporting stone.

(Day 168 and 169, Month 6 There will be some improvement in your castle.)

Air:
Head west. Pass Air guard, kill the titans continue west, visit Redwood
observatory. Go down to the water and waterwalk to the other side of the water
there is a hidden path that leads north. Waterwalk through waterfall and fight
the angels to get Boots of levitation. Bring them to Q.guard and defeat Air guard.
Read on statue to get name of Air guardian - Sandrima
Then go get Orb of Firmament, give it to Master of elements whom opens the path
to Earth.

Earth:
Head west. Go in Earth area with a lot of metamorphs groups, the most south
metamorphs group gives a gate key, waterwalk to island west of here,
give key to Q.guard, get Tome of Earth Magic. Give it to Q.guard at
Earth guard and kill the guard, read stone to get name of Earth guardian -
Rosarina. Then go get the Orb of Silt and hand it over to Master of elements
He will open the gate south to the water region. Set sail and go south.

Water.
You will see a Shipwreck survivor on the sea, we will talk to him later.
sail pass the water gate south. Find Fiur the planeswalker and kill him
you will get Buckler of the gnoll king
Land just south of red border gate and then
waterwalk northwest, land just south of water entrance. Walk southwest.
and give Buckler of the gnoll king to seers hut in return you will get
Celestial Necklace of Bliss. Sail to the northeast corner in this area and
give the artefact to seers hut, in return you will have
Scales of the Greater Basilisk. Give this to seers hut directly west of the
Water guard. In return you will have Sword of Sharpness. Give it to the
seers hut southeast of here, gives Helm of heavenly enlightment. Give it
to seer even further north where you deleivered Scales of the Greater Basilisk.
Then you get Sea Captains hat. Sail almost directly south and give it to the
seer there, in return you will have Pendant of Negativity. Take it to east of
the Water guard and give it to the seer there in return you will have Necklace
of Ocean Guidance, take that to north center part of this region. Now you will
have Lions Shield of Courage. Take it and sail to shipwrecked survivor outside
water area. He will trade you for Tome of Water magic. It is time to take the
water guard out and read on the stone (Summon boat).
Water guardian name is - Lorelei. Sail back or use teleporting amulet and get the
Orb of driving rain. Give it to the master and then sail south again.

Fire:
Sail through the water region and out through the fire gate southwest. On a green
island west of the gate is a S.gate in hiddens mountain paths here you will find
boots of speed. Go back and sail north of this green island. Pass the first volcano
island "FIRE". In next little island there is a group of phoenix that will join you
sail even further north and take the fights and get the sword of hewllfire.
Sail back and land on the island "FIRE", this can be done a little northeast of sign.
East of where you lands you can find some more phoenix. Pass the Q.Guard and kill
the Fire guard. Reading the stone gives you - Flaniana. Go get Orb of Tempestuous fire
and give it to Master. Now sail down to Master of Dark and light just north of
Water area. When visiting the Light area opens up West of here. Sail there.

Visit the master of dark and light whom opens the path to light area.

Light:
Visit brown tent. Sail northwest, land on island west of brown tent. Visit Korran.
He seeks Sandals of the saint.
Summon boat on northwest coast and sail to Island where the light guard is.
(Visit the 4 trees first). Just walk north again pass the guard. Visiting the
different castles gives you hints about what is needed to pass the Guard
at City of Light. North of this island set sail again and sail west of this island.
Land here and visit small house, to get a quest from Paulina, she sends you off to
the Crystal take the key and sail east. Directly east of this house lies
the Crystal cave, use the key and enter. Walk north in cave, the road goes back and
forth but continue to the north you will have some fights with crystal dragons.
Get the Everflowing Crystal Cloak. Visit the book far north and then go back to
paulina with the Cloak, She will give you Helm of Heavenly Enlightenment. Sail east
again and land south of the crystal cave on the road. Head north, give helmet to
Q.Guard. whom also gives you a word "Monk" go to City guard whom seeks an answer
on who can enter, Well a holy man is needed and that is "Monk". The answer monk is also
hidden in the bushes here. Visit all buildings here. Far north you will find some
extra troops. Get them firstly with as few fights as possible. In a building west in
town some demons are waiting, take them down to complete Korrans quest and then go
back to him for the reward, take the sandals and open to Light guard, kill it and
read on statue. Go back and get the light reward, Sphere of Performance,
give it to Master of L & D whom gives the Light guardian Amorina. Then the path
to Dark area is open go there.

Dark:
Sail pass the Q.Guard who seeks Skull helmet continue east until you see a brown house.
land here and visit house, Robert will give you the helmet, take it and go to Whirlpool.
Visit all three black towers here and kill the necromancers to lift Roberts curse.
Go see Robert after that and he will give you the names of the three Necromancers.
Rik, Mal and Sha. Now sail northwest of here and land on the island above Dark Guard.
Head north and be teleported from black building to the first skull, visit it and give
first name, Rik. Find next teleporter south of here, next skull seeks Mal, Go north and
teleport to third skull, Sha. With this three gained artefacts you can build Cloak of
the undead king, do it and go to last teleporter, the statue in the north.
Give C.o.t.U.K to Q.Guard kill Dark guard and read on stone. Go get Dark reward, Orb
of Vulnerability. Give it to Master of Light and Dark. And you will have the final
name of the six guardians - Rocanjac

Guardians.
Go to Monolith at the North east corner of map and then give the names on all guards by
visiting all statues here, now you can pass the S.gate.


Episode 6:
Pass the south Q.guard and then chose the middle G.guard to the east. Go in and get the
Lions Shield of Courage. Deliver it to the Q.Guard north of here and enter s.gate.
Lonely house west of here may be visited several times just to tease the owner, But
he will attack you hard if you persist.
If you would like Orb of Silt:
Go visit Strange building north west of s.gate.
You are teleported, go back to same building, on your way you are attacked. Second
visit teleports you to southwest corner, walk east to get back then go to strange
building again. Next visit sends you off to angel wings, almost. Now the man opens
a path in the waterfalls where the Orb is.

Q.guard north of strang building demands Statue of Legion.
Northeast of here are five Oracles whom will give you all pieces needed to build the
Statue. On all of the Oracles you can see a hint on, or very close by that tells
the answer, The answers are, starting with northwest Oracle:
Lava
Head
Water
Arms
Red
Put the statue together and proceed through the Q.guard.
Continue West until you reach the quest guard building
South of this is a Q.guard that seeks Boots of Polarity, The Boots is visible and
you need to fight for them, get them if you need some powerup.
The Quest guard building seeks 99 999. You can gather 50 000 by killing the
to monsters guarding some gold. But you really dont need to give the q.guard the
gold. Waterwalk south of his building and go directly east. In the bushes here
is a small group of basilisk hiding, you need to take them to the Q.Guard north
of here. Before you take them. clear the path to the q.guard so you dont loose
one of them. Visit purple tent. After visiting the general you head north.

Episode 7:
Heads north through the forrest and capture Alvins estate, now you can build
magic tower lvl 4 which will give you town portal.
Continue to the Blue tower, Q.guard, north of here
1. Kill Sharpshooters - located south of Blue tower
2. Kill Rust dragons - Located northeast of Blue tower. Mr Z is blocking the way
3. Kill Chaos Hydras - Northwest of Blue tower.
Visit the white tent.
North of blue tower is a Q.guard that seeks Scales of the greater basilisk.
Even further north is a Q.Guard that wants the Traitor dead..
Head south again all the way down to east of Ortegas camp, pass the white border
guard and kill the traitor. You will get Scales of the greater basilisk.
Give Scales of the greater basilisk to Q.guard and take what is in there.
Pass the second guard that wanted the trator dead. Find Mr Mooh and kill him
directly after passing guard, he posesses Helm of heavenly enlightenment.
Kill the minotuars west of bridge and get Badge of courage.
North of bridge is several Q.guards. First needs Mr Mooh dead pass this guard and
kill Nutcase. North of him is a rather well guarded artefact, Pendant of Courage.
needs nutcase dead. Pass that guard and kill Beast Lord. Get the Golden bow and continue
west. Next Q.Guard need Beast Lord dead. Pass that guard and kill Protector.
Continue south and kill the Mighty Gorgons whom will give you Sword of judgement.
Go back up and visit the last Q.Guard here, give him the three artefacts he seeks.
Press spacebar while at the guard. Continue west. enter monoloith.


Episode 8:
Open Q.guard south that needed Protector dead so you can use teleporting amulet again.
North you will find Helstorm Helmet, east of here are some Champions to join.
To the west are a Q.Guard that seeks Titans Cuirass, northeast of here are a bunch of
archmages to defeat before battle of the guardians of the Titans Cuirass. Deliver
artefact to Q.Guard. Continue north then west and then south, pick up some troops east.
Set sail when reaching water and head east, pick up the sacred phoenixes.
Land and sail through last little water east to the black tent. Go back over the
small piece of water and open the first black guard. Collect what is in there.
Then sail west and pass the black border guard, admirals hat is found.
there is a seers hut north east of Lighthouse as you must visit, seeks the Bow of the
Sharpshooter. Island west of here with Sacred Phoenix will give Angel feather arrows.
Island NW of here, the most NE Pandoras box will give bow of Elven Cherrywood. ANd the
box most NW will give Bowstring of the Unicorns mane and you will find useful things
in several of the boxes. Assemble the Sharpshooters bow and deliver it to the seer who
gives you back waterwalk.

Sail nortwest of here and land where the clover fields are. Waterwalk and get a boat
at the east coast. Land on the next island east of here. A seers hut demands Andra dead.
Go back to the boat and sail north. Land on Island and kill Andra. Go back to seers hut
and get Angel Feather arrows. Go back to the clover fields island and head west,
southwest. Waterwalk again to reach the boats. Sail west and land, kill the gold dragons
and visit seer hut who demands Demon dead, you can learn visions on this island as well.
Sail southeast and land on lava island. Find and kill Demon, from Demon you also gets
Greater Gnolls flail. Sail back to seers hut northwest of here and get Bow of Elven
Cherrywood. go back to Clover Island and walk/waterwalk directly north. Sail or
waterwalk to island north of here, visit seers hut whom seeks the death of Moandor.
Sail or waterwalk to island north of here. Find and kill Moandor, go back to seers hut
and receive Bowstring of the Unicorns mane. Go back to Clover island and pass the
Q.Guard whom seeks this three artefacts in the north of island.

Sail north and land on first possible island. Capture the castle, here you will be able
to learn resurrection, when done here, sail east and land on island east of lighthouse.
Walk east, kill the titans and get the key, walk to south of island and sail southeast,
Visit Q.guard in water, needs Tamika dead.
Land south of here and pass the Q.guard and the black border guard. Kill Tamika and
pass the Q.Guard in the water. Land on first possible island, Visit Richards house.
Read what Richard has to say. Visit center of island, needs gate key.
Get what you like, there is even an hidden artefact here.
Walk by Richards house and go north. Summon boat and sail to the south, land on first
possible spot and walk/waterwalk east, north, avoid XSI.
Save game and rest before opening the black border guard. Enter monolith in north
with waterwalk.

Episode 9:
Walk west and north, capture two castles head northeast. In lucid pools area there are
4 heroes to be beaten, they all keep one artefact each as is needed to assemble.
Waterwalk and summon boat to reach the enemies.
Armor of the damned that a Q.Guard seeks north of the lucid pools area.
In snow area, capture the three towers and kill Daremyth. When done head back south and
go east. Here is a teleporting stone to visit then pass the Q.Guard whom seeks Daremyth
dead. Next Q.Guard needs Frozen Genie dead, the Genie was in the island tower so if
you captured all three towers, the Genie is dead. Pass the Q.Guard.


Episode 10:
East of here is a
Q.Guard that seeks Power of the dragon father. This we will try to get by doing a
tricky journey. From here head north, save your game and do not overwrite until you have
completed Power of the dragon father. Enter monolith, continue west. Pickup Crown of
dragontooth, then continue west, open black border guard. From now and til the artefact
is assembled and you have passed the guard that seeks it it is a cat and mouse play.

The monoliths that leads to all the 9 + 1 artefacts are the very same, so you will
be traveling random and risking facing deadly enemies all the time. The artefacts
needed to assemble Power of the dragon father are:
Red dragon flame tongue
Quiet eye of the dragon
Crown of dragon tooth
Necklace of dragon teeth
Dragon scale armor
Dragon bone greaves
Dragon scale shield
Dragon wing tabard
Still eye of the dragon

And finally you need Tome of earth magic to be able to leave the area.
A hint is to not touch any of the resources you see as the enemy will pick them up and
be delayed which gives you valuable time. Also some saves now and then, by hitting
spacebar while in monolith you can travel to new place without loss of travelpoints,
Thus your enemy can do the same. When finished assemble the artefact and deliver it
to the Q.Guard and pass through the monolith. Head west, find Rumanis and kill him.
Pass through the Q.Guard in the north that need Rumanis dead.

Light City - Davids story part 1
I'm stuck at the guardian of light part. Did everything with Paulina, she's not home anymore, the seer's body is gone, cleared the crystal cavern.

1) I don't understand the Cave of solitude, what does Karron want.
2) What does the demon want?
3) What's the password to the city?

I opened the brown guard post aswell, at first i didn't take the angels, had no room. Then i used cheats to get them thinking the devil will do something, but no.

PS: I already sent a save game to Baron!

Now I am sergeant, what next please? - Davids story part 1
First,thanks a million for this map, I am really enjoying it but am partially sighted so have struggled with a few things!
I have just found the mayor's name and returned to him, then spoke to Hannibal, got promoted and visited the carpenter. I have NO idea what to do next, I have given speculum to mapmaker and defeated an azure gragon, got light blue tent but cannot find a way to reach the dark blue one, I cn see it but cannot get a path to it. I haven't yet seen white, purple or brown tents.
My quest log is emp[ty except for my father's name in the papyrus. I cannot find the oracle who asks for my father's name but that could be due to my eye problems, maybe I am overlooking it, please could you tell me where this oracle is, or just a hint of the general area? Looking forward to your reply, thanks so much!

Hello, first of all its really great and enjoyable map :) Thanks for that

But now im stuck and I dont know if im missing something (i've collected 10k mercury and dont know what to do next) or its related to ERM command wrong syntax error which occurs to me.

Im in EP4 and capitan hannibal sends me to carpenter. Carpenter builded traing grounds and now i wanted to go back to capitan hannibal but every time i tried to speak with him i'm getting ERM command wrong syntax error just after "Dont hang around here" dialog. Is it normal?

No its not normal.
I have seen some gets problems later on with things that never happened here when I played the map, I guess that WOG 3.58f is not as stable as you would like, that is why ERA was developed, which I have not tested yet as all my map making is down to zero now.

Stuck :-( - Davids story part 1
Hi, I must say, I am absolutely loving the map, it's the first custom map I've ever played and it's so imaginative and well thought out! However, I seem to have come to a standstill and don't know where to go from here- I am at the stage where;
1) I don't know the Wizard's first name
2) I don't know how to 'cheer up' the unicorn
3) I can't get into the swamp as it says I need to turn around and see the guard again
4) I can't get through the other border guard as I don't have enough Mercury
5) There's a third border guard I can't get through as I'm not a seargeant.
Have tried all the houses and looked everywhere I can think of. The only creatures I haven't killed are the legion of Titans as I don't think my army is strong enough. Any ideas please?

This is a one hero run form start to the end. The map is ERM scriptet, buildings that normally
only can be visited once may be visited several times to get different happenings, use
spacebar to test while in building or return after completing a mission.
There are not much spells at the start and some limited troops. It will increase later on
in game. The map will keep you busy many months, around 20 I guess. There will be some running
back and forth due solving different tasks. Taking a few notes will be helpful for you.
On a couple of places I have written it in the game for the player to do so, that is for crucial
quests.
Your english must be fairly good as it is very important for you to read all messages or you
will be lost. Normally one can get back on track again after missing some reading, but it will
cost time. And of course I have not tested all the different combinations that you can do
during game. There are some monsters, not many but some, that grow over time so lingering too
long is not a good advise. On your journey there will be some hidden stuff, but not so many
actually. I think I managed to hint all the crucial ones in some way.

When starting the map there will be a choice on which difficulty you like to play this map.
Default, Hard, and Harder :). By selecting any but default will increase all enemy heroes
strength and some monster fights will be harder. I myself have only played this map in default
mode, so the other choices I leave up to you dear player. I guess its best to play in default
mode the first time you play it. Maybe the map is not playable in any other mode. That I just
dont know.

Save often.

My intention with this map was actually to build a serie of three maps to complete the little
story. Its all about inspiration. Hopefully I can pull it together.

Installation:
There are external sound files with this map. They should be present in your maps directory
when unzipped like.

If you fail to put the sound files there, the map will crash when calling a sound file.
