One of the grandest geographical landmarks of the ancient world is also home to a variety of races, and cultures. Gracious lords and kings seek defend their kingdoms, as others seek to dominate the entire region. The age of war is upon the kingdoms, and heroes must use every tool at their disposal to win.

I tried many times with different teams, replaced the map, placed only this one into the maps directory, OS Win7, etc... issue remains.
Really pityfull.
Hence I cannot vote a map which cannot be played entirely

My game did't crash, not even once. I was playing this map on HOMM5 Complete. Also, it saved/loaded perfecty fine with the mod 5.5.
Maybe the game is crashing because many of you played only Tribes of East and not the Complete version. Also, have you tried changing resolution and game detail?

If you are running the latest released version of ToTE, this map cannot be loaded from a save.
if you want to play the entire map WITHOUT saving... good luck!
I tried, I really did. this map *looks* great in the editor, but is unplayable and the author is long gone.
so sadly... don't bother.

I'm currently creating a map and I try to get some inspiration from your map, especially for the terrain building. I have a question. On your map, at the North-West corner where there are snow terrains, there are some moving white clouds (nice!): how did you create these clouds in the Map Editor ? I didn't find any clouds objects.

This is by far THE BEST YET! Kudos to the designer of this map, it appears time was spent thinking out this map and adding appropriate detail. I love the topograghy of the map and the sensation of going up the moutains and down into the canyon! Just an overall great map! If you haven't checked this map out...chekc it out.

I ve tried the maps on different computers and I still do have that crash while loading/ saving the map. I would like to play it till the end once :P
Author: John DiFool (USA), 05-03-2008 20:48 Great Canyon This is an enjoyable and detailed map, with lots of areas to explore, good and varied use of terrain, and several custom artifacts, but it is hampered by balance issues. I as the Teal Necromancer was able to build my empire in relative isolation, but 3 of the AI players were eliminated very early on, so if you start in one of those locations (in the crossroads of the map) you'll likely have a hard time of it. I would recommend placing some strong border guards in there to delay the onset of the middle game and get players exploring the side areas first.
