I also got stuck in Efreet fight, but after that i remembered the seer that give you -5 power by doing his quest. Hope this help s/o get stuck in the future.

Feedback - Battle Royale - Heroes 3 map

SPOILER: Some of this issues might be caused by Wogification and new terrain I guess.

So the artifacts that are on islands for some reason AI doesn't touch them.

Few buildings that I couldn't reach:
Lizard Den around middle of the map
Refuge camp North on the map south of the Cast

Your intuition is right but I won’t spoil the surprise beyond that ;) it’s a small reward but a nice one nonetheless! They’re set to the default spawn / growth, some of my play tests the CPU actually took them out but I guess if no one does early on they quickly get out of hand.

The only regret is that I never found out what lied behind the (in my case) Hordes of Crystal dragons that probably guarded some treasure related to the tents.

FYI finding it a little buggy. heroes disappear if you leave them in castle to defend. once they defend castle they are gone by next turn. could not recover hero by sending a second hero to prison to battle. you get to battle but you don't get the prisoner. had to battl more...

Alundro war einst Heimat machtiger Konigreiche und Schauplatz verheerender Kriege. Doch das unaufhaltsame Streben nach Macht brachte die Welt aus dem Gleichgewicht. Gewaltige Erdbeben und vernichtende Sturme rissen die Lander auseinander. Die Konigreiche zerfielen und die Volker fluchteten sich in die entlegendsten Winkel.

Diese Map ist der Wahnsinn - Alundro
Ich spiele HoMM 5 schon seit einigen Jahren ... Und ich habe auch schon einige Maps heruntergeladen und ausprobiert ... Alundro ist die einzige map die ich seit dem ich sie einmal gespielt habe immer und immer wieder spiele sie macht einfach unheimlich viel Spaß egal mit welcher Fraktion ... Durch die Garnisonen hat man die Möglichkeit sich erstmal auf den Ausbau zu konzentrieren und muss nicht sofort mit Feinden rechnen ... Aber man hat natürlich jederzeit die Möglichkeit sein eigenes Reich zu verlassen und die Gegend zu erkunden und zu kämpfen wenn man das möchte... Ich spiele immer wieder etwas anders und mal eher aktiv oder passiv ... Wenn man das Spiel noch nicht so gut kennt ist das die ideale map für Einsteiger ... Ich liebe diese Karte ... Einziger kleiner Fehler besteht bei der einen Garnison der orks aber wenn man den Fehler kennt ist auch das kein Problem ... Gerne mehr von dieser Sorte

There were some negative words said about that map - such as there is no balance, big garnissons and that it deserves only 4 points. Personally I think that this map is desighned for that players who like to play long and have strong, experienced, grown-up heroes, not only to have it, but also to fight against the same strong heroes. Anyhow, playing with computer, good player (person) wins, and computer looses. But in ordinary map, the game lasts not so long what does not allow you to enjoy the whole possibilities the game may give, to get the maximum level and so on. Also, garnissons are very easily avoided if you have certain spells as astral gates. No problems. I enjoyed the map more than any other I've ever playd, as it let me feel the real strenth of the hero with all skills and high level.

the updates work.

some garrisons are still too big although you made the updates very well. furthermore the other players could be more aggressive. in addition they could collect more ressources and garrisons to get stronger, too.

but all in all: WOW! this map is epic.

That's precisely what I did this weekend (101 of the corresponding 7th level creatures, everything else deleted), and there's tons more movement by the AI-so much so that every single power has either been eliminated or swapped home territories with each other. Bad news is that holding onto your gains will be more difficult than before.

Garrisons are too big, otherwise great
A really nice, well thought-out map with clever placement of resources, neutrals, etc. It's particularly fun that the surface and underground are so different from one another.

That said, the garrisons are way too big - the AI can't figure out how to confront the garrisons, so you're never in danger of an invasion. It becomes tedious going out and hacking your way through these enormous neutral stacks in the garrisons.

Other players: I recommend using the map editor to drastically reduce the size of the garrison stacks. If you do that, the pace of the game picks up dramatically and it's a really enjoyable map.

In my case I went back and just deep-sixed all tents and colored guards. There was a little more movement, but not much-with PP's game that's 3 times that the Inferno and Dungeon players never once peeked out of their realms (Haven did tho-not sure what's broken about them in your game MB). When making a H5 map you really need to work with the AI and not against it; those huge garrisons in particular are troublesome-AI heroes would often get stuck in one after using the one way teleporters, and, if not level 20 couldn't Town Portal back. Or they would be forced to attack it and lose their entire army.

Lot's of Potential
I liked the map but agree with John DiFool that not much happens as the game develops. The placement of the portals is interesting and very clever but seems too much for the AI to figure out. As an experiment, I edited the map to place the keymaster tents (and the guards) as close to the gates as possible. I also changed the behavior of all AI players to "explorer" and got mixed results. After the changes three AI players left their home islands but the other four didn't move. Inferno and Haven seem to be the worst and don't even fully explore their islands. Even so, I like the map a great deal but it would be great if the AI would be a little more aggressive.

How did you defeat the haven player? Mine cant get out, as there's always an academy outpost (where you can acquire extra creatures), all that player can do is build the castle and get wood from a mill, there's no access to the map.

Because haven can't get out, I can't get in...can't complete the game.

AI doesn't always flag tents.
I loved the exploration theme, and the long buildup phase, which built up to...not much, as it turned out. The issue is that the AI doesn't put a priority on flagging the tents which let them gain access to the seas. Of the 7 AI players (I was Academy), only the Dwarves and the Sylvan got out of their home territories, and the Dwarves ended up with two main heroes trapped in enemy territories, all because they can't make the connection between the tent and the gate which would let them out. Perhaps that can be scripted somehow; simplest remedy is to move the tents near their matching colored guards. At least one AI (Inferno) didn't even capture their second town...

Hi, nice map, but how can you complete it? Blue player is locked in his castle with no way out. There's no path other than the first few steps and I couldn't find Angel wings or an instant travel spell to reach the blue player, thus I can't complete it....

Also opponents don't want to come out from their own territory...

Otherwise a nice map, which is huge and doesn't crash or hang AND saves everytime.
