While doing the map I noticed many AI blocking with caravans, and if I take cities I get many caravans from enemy AI. It seems AI is not able to manage caravans, to a point it create traffic jams and make the game very slow: probably what creates my savegame unloadable too. more...
Sorry to say that, the map blocked after I beat the 3rd player too (with a relatively small army on my necromancy hero - 4k skeletons-170 vampires-30 dragons-500 spiders- 200 lamasu), I'm not able to reload a savegame.
My Pc is decent, 8Gb Ram + Radeon HD8750 with addition 2Gb DDR5 Ram.
Nice map. I liked the ideas of spell learning and picking secondary skills for 2 main heroes.
I finished in 205 days, using the horn, rushing. Didn't get the Grail, AI found it before, so 442 points this time.
At the very end, I had to cheat a bit, since I could not find black tent needed t more...
I found myself chasing AI until I lost interest... I appreciate the time invested to make and test the map, but it is far from enjoyable (at least for me). I suppose giving town portal, blind and animate dead would make it too easy, but chasing around AI is really not an alternative. more...
The Heroes 5 Expansion will be the first to feature 'Renegades'. These are seemingly rebellious units who have been ostracised from their community. The story goes that a band of Haven followers break away from the mainstream town and form their own crusade against the demon army. These renegades oppose their own faction (Haven) and wear the colour red. They cannot be purchased in-town - the only way to recruit them is from the adventure map.
The Renegades are alternative upgrade units, and are listed below with their respective abilities:
Tax Payer; Shield Bash
Shoots; Rapid Fire
Large, Flyer, Unlimited Retal, Battle Frenzy
Shoots, No Melee Penalty, Caster
Large, Champion Charge
Large; Flyer, Life Drain
Apart from a life draining level 7 unit (Life Drain is the Vampire ability!), you can see 4 brand new abilitites (in italics) in this list:
Cleave: If this creature's attack kills at least one creature in the target stack, it performs an additional strike.
Battle Frenzy: Every next retaliation strike performed by this creature inflicts damage 1.5 times as great as the previous one.
Champion Charge: If this creature has walked more than 2 tiles when attacking, it also inflicts half damage on the stack standing in the line of attack immediately behind the primary target.
Rapid Fire: no description yet.
Pack Hunter, Howl
Unlimited Retalliation, Agility
Undead, Hexing Attack, Caster(32 mana).
Large, Flyer, Poisonous Attack
Unlimited Retaliation, Agility.
Pack Hunter: When this creature attacks a target, the target is also attacked by all the other stacks of creatures of the same type who are able to do so.
Howl: Once per battle, this creature can summon a friendly stack of equal power.
Hexing Attack: After a successful attack, the target creature also suffers the effect of one of the following damnations: Weakness, Slow, Suffering or Vulnerability. All the effects are equal to those of Expert-level spells.
Agility: For the next turn, this creature gains a +30% Defense bonus for every tile it walks.
