The elementalists have summoned the most powerful heroes to fight to the death in their arena. They have imitated the realms of each hero and shaped them to fit into a deadly, two-layer cake.
The winner gets to eat it all!
A kingdom for a piece of cake!
2 cakes, 8 pieces and 8 kingdoms. Between the latter you find corridors with portals connected to each other.
2 center conflux towns. 2 gold mines. All unit dwellings. All artifacts. Everyone is everyone's neighbor.

Couple of things that went wrong during my playthrough.
1. Balance went to Hell once I took a GOD, the other player were either to scared or to stupid to take one.
2. Not sure if me wogifying the already WOG map did this but, the WOG buildings did not work at all, except for the God ones.
Cake Kingdoms walkthrough
Additional Info: The goal of this map was to make it very balanced. To achieve this, I divided the map into several kingdoms. In each kingdom you will find every mine and every creature that lives in the respective city.
Above ground you'll find the good guys (Rampart, Castle and Tower) and the neutrals (Stronghold and Fortress). Below ground you'll find the evil forces (Inferno, Necropolis and Dungeon).
The default settings are for the factions to fight each other, for example, the good guys vs. the bad guys vs. the neutrals. Another element I used to make the game more balanced is that the neutrals get the first and fourth turns,
while the bad guys get the second, sixth, and eighth turns. However, in the WoG options (the settings I recommend can be found in the appendix) you can choose a "free for all" before the game starts, which is certainly much fairer.
Also, there are many commander artifacts on the map. If you don't like commanders, disable them in the WoG options, but give the commander items two random abilities instead. Back to the layout of the map -
the centers are full of various buildings and a gate leading from the top to the bottom. There is also a heavily guarded Conflux city and a gold mine. In the corridors,
you'll find a windmill in the center and a portal in front of each kingdom gate. In fact, each gate of a kingdom is neighboring every other kingdom. In the corridors you will also find neutral dwellings.
In the center, there are some neutral dwellings that are connected to a city. If you give away extremely powerful artifact sets for a bunch of gold, the quests are terrible for everyone. However, gold is not that easy to get,
as the only natural expansion city is not able to produce more than 1000 gold per day. You could think about banning the spells "Dimension Door", "Flying" and maybe "Town Portal". I've already banned "Angel Wings".
Underground battles are actually fought above ground, so the dungeon doesn't always have the advantage of being underground, but only on the underground terrain.

In Game:
When selecting the map, go to WoG Options, and load "CakeKingdomsWoGSettings.dat" settings.
Choose "Default" or Custom alliances: Default is good vs. bad vs. neutral.
