Author: Ja Rite (United States), 18-10-2023 22:55 Like Fun Map - Greedy Warlords! Eventually got bored, it was fun to start, there were some hard fights initially (2 enemy heroes with the no spells over level 2 cloaks when I was using angels/clone to keep my army.
Started as Conflux killed 4 enemies, owned the center and I think 15 cities, army way bigger than anyone else just got too bored to clean up.

A lot of thought went into this map but after the initial month spent taming the starting area I spent 90% of the next 5 months traveling between castles. This map desperately needs town portal. Make it difficult to get, but without it the work becomes extremely tedious ferrying troops from starting towns to main hero somewhere else on the map.

Thanks for the feedback. An updated version was uploaded at the start of September (just a few days ago), I’d encourage you to try again. I added TP in the middle island by a level 4 magic shrine but only after obtaining all 8 border tents can you get it. I also added pathing throughout the map and enhanced the computer just a bit for slightly increased difficulty.
Author: Jay (Singapore), 26-08-2023 22:46 Good Concept but It's really tedious - Greedy Warlords! The concept is great. But an XL map with multiple castle not having town portal is just tedious. Not to mention the distance between each castle is pretty far. I really liked the map and the concept but lack of mobilty just make it boring. Also disabling resurection is a great idea, be sure to disable Jeddite too! I played green and get him. With scholar I can give it to my main and easily preserve my army. Maining spell caster is kinda hard in this map due to the army size and berserk being disabled. I'd say 7/10 for me!

Thanks for playing my map, Jay. I’ve gotten similar feedback about the mobility on the map and the tedious nature of finishing off enemies without having TP. Also, thanks for mentioning the ban of Jeddite, I’ll be sure to do that!
A revised version is coming soon, I’ve added a few more paths to make movement easier, a couple boots of the wayfarer and witch huts with pathfinding.
I’ve also increased the gold for computer players and very slightly increased their primary stats for a harder version.
I’m going to leave TP out of the map, so the tedious nature of finishing off enemies may remain a little rough towards the end, but I’m still trying to put thought into how it can be slightly improved. I like the idea of needing to have multiple strong heroes at the end to defend/attack/finish the game.
