First time played as stronghold, just couldn't get powerful enough fast enough and got owned pretty early.
Tried as castle and did a LOT better, had a good hero 99 all stats, took out some very tough fights... thought I was winning then a maxxed hero with 2700 azure showed up and owned me. I never found blind/berzerk etc. for any tricks.
Not sure how I could have done much better or how all these people are posting how easy it was, I'm usually pretty good at the game.
Anyhow gave up twice, didn't try a third.

I would recommend to ban Mephala as armorer with vampires is a complete imba. Basically, I killed everything with 1k+ vampires during the 3rd month and had 3 all 99 heroes with TP and 400+ azures at the end of months 3.

the hardest part is getting DD or fly, everything else then is easy
town portal can be found several times, its balanced
a bit too many artifacts maybe, like what 12 inventories full in one game? sorting them takes a chunk of time haha

I’d been thinking for a while if it was worth downloading (and playing) the map, since all characters could be chosen as a main (playable) character and there weren’t any apparent powerful AI’s. I’ve been really enjoying playing with this map. Visually It’s designed very nicely, the quests are “time-balanced” too, the map is complicated enough. In regards to my play through, I don’t set characters free from jails, I’m leaving them for AI’s. Same with monsters, I don’t add them to my army (including the ones scripted for the level 6 and etc.). I have a few suggestions about how you could improve AI’s. Firstly, it would be a good idea to block the paths to jails for real players, since AI’s open these paths to jails and kill all the monsters guarding them (the jails). Secondly, the amount of artifacts is excessive, AI’s collect them with “supporting / secondary characters” which later die and end up appearing in my tavern overloaded with powerful artifacts. And lastly, there are way too many resources and gold. This is definitely the greatest map I’ve been able to find recently, thank you very much for uploading!

Yep town portal is in few shrines across the map, but of course - not easy to get :)
All spells are available - DD can be learned just from one box, fly can be obtained for more heroes

Most curious i am about two issues 1)number of artifact on the map - if AI leaves breadcrumbs of artifacts behind them, because full inventory
2)If AI uses the "boosting areas" i did set up for them. When i tested the map twice, they annoyed me quite a bit by ignoring them

When I've got DD, I've basically got to archangel, titan and azure dragons island, and gathered like 24k azure dragons and 50k archangels

Yep, i did allow just one DD on map, since you can skip the check events there.
The idea behind it was players can collect the DD in the later part of the game, when AI would already collect some or most of the boosts. But AI in my tests kept being stupid and ignored the boost zones alot.
At which date you managed to beat the box guardians to gain DD?
