In terms of design it has been very poorly developed. With only one interesting idea (mines surrounded with apropriate decorations, crystals with sparkling red light mountains etc...it was nice) making this map really ugly. However these mining areas are for some reason bordered with random effects, and contain many inacessible creatures (strange decoration?). Just out of blue, the "doors" for these mines are once firewall, the other time it is green glowing skull... or lighting beam...lack of consistency... Player will probably ask: "what is the point in such design? Its neither nice, nor has it purpose..".
Regarding gameplay. Maybe you could think: OK, this is not the best looking map in the earth, but probably author was focused on scripting, strategy, gameplay? Well, the only I can tell you is that initial idea could be interesting. If just made properly..which is not the case in this map unfortunately..
You are in some sort of prison and you have to escape. You cannot loose your hero (no taverns). Very interesting assumptions that could bring your gameplay on somewhat different level.
However the problem is that you cannot escape and get rid of everyone, since author err in scripting making central area bugged, thus surface being unaccessible.
I played dungeon (spell-based fraction if you are not familiar), and you are limited to level 3 spells by design of this map... So the lack of balance is another disadvantage of this map? But this is not a problem, its just matter of challenge. As well as spawn of random orange armies, very huge armies. They were always "High" or "Deadly" to me, however never attacked (played on heroic). In the late stage of the game they "disappeared&qu ot; (probably they have gone to surface never coming back...and remember...surface is not accessible). So I have managed to get rid of others in underground, eventually ruling whole underground clicking endless "next turn".. waiting for salvation:))
Some of you mention "instant travel" spell, which I never happend to get (conquered all castles in underground). So I think it is not the case. Probably there is some sort of trigger to let player get into center area, but unfortunately badly developed making unable to finish this map.
So in summary:
Design: 2/10
Gameplay: 3/10
Overall: 0/10 (impossible to finish map due to bugs)
I do not recommend you downloading this, unless you like maps you will never finish.

Map is deadlocked and needs an update. Playing the standard Necromancer player does not give you instant travel, I wonder why the Orc player does receive it?
Will vote if the map is corrected.
Author: dserbource (France), 09-10-2012 03:35 Instant travel necessary I received "instant travel" as usual at level 15. Playing with the Orcs (Haggash) I ignored the other heroes and cities except Orange from which I ran away seeking shelter in my own town.
Building up an army and upgrading my hero, it happened that I captured first the orange town on the surface while Orange had captured all other cities.

Ansonsten, die Idee ist super.
Author: Roy (USA), 08-10-2012 22:17 Sure is Tough I aggree this map is hard. First time Orange was too strong and keeps appearing over the map. Second time I managed to take the other 3 towns but could not go any further without Instant Travel. Fool me I have the habit of always deleting Instant Travel in a map because it spoils them. So I put it back in but still not receiving instant travel. So help needed.
