Is it possible to get town portal on this map? Don't tell me how, just tell mi if it possible. I'm asking, because this map is a little to hard for me and I'm unexperienced.
Author: Martin (Czech Republic), 02-11-2014 21:12 Excellent map Excellent map, quite challenging and time consuming. This is one of the best maps with lots to explore and conquer. Many fights with growing enemy armies.
I've played as red tower on impossible.
Very high main hero primary skills later in the game.
Some opponents got lucky to get fly spell in a pyramid, which added to the difficulty.
The red's main hero logistics specially was quite handy on such a large map without town portal.
The inferno castels provided at least a partial 'town portal'.
Author: Troppi (Finland), 17-04-2013 00:05 Like Clarification I've completed this map twice on impossible. First as Red rampart and then as Blue necromancer.
The map is full of events and packed with plethora of details. Also 2 super-AI:s.
Difficulty isn't too high for a HOMM-veteran, but still offers a good challenge. In other words - still harder than vast majority of the maps. (OFC played on impossible)
The factions (towns, colours..) are in good balance while the custom heroes add some diversity to certain playstyles.
~Red being the more safer one in his huge corner compared to Tan or Blue who might get overrun by orange fairly early.
@William - The seers huts with expert necro are for the necromancers (duh), because of the fixed heroes who don't have the necromancy in their starting skills. -- Necromancer w/o necromancy isn't something to root for.
Also, Summon boat. About 2 docks are landlocked so no reason to complain.

Author: William (United States), 02-06-2012 03:31 Like Nevermind Take my rating back, the waterways are completely screwed on this map. Red can't access any of the waters because the boats that can be built are landlocked.
Author: William (USA), 31-05-2012 23:23 Like Got me I like the design of this map, played pink on both playthroughs (impossible). Had a much easier time with Conflux. It's a very time consuming map and get ready for large stacks. You should be able to make 2-3 combination artifacts by midgame. My typical army with pink (archery) was about 1000 shooters behind about 100-150 6th level creatures as my frontline.
I'm not sure what the seers huts with expert necro are for though.
