Author: Nikolay (USA), 24-08-2018 01:07 decent map - A Cold Day in Hell A decent map, abundant in creatures with very limited access to good spells and heroes. Not particularly challenging, but with interesting ideas. Just a few comments:
1. I started with ring of vitality (as a starting bonus) – I assembled the elixir of life very early in the game. Not sure the map was intended this way.
2. Couldn’t find the point of the three starting heroes – they are useless. Lost the 2 magicians, dumped Lord Haart in the sanctuary and I hired Sir Munich. 2/3 of the game I played on quick combat. No magic – just brute force.
3. Pandora boxes that take almost all your resources – that’s a bit annoying.
4. Maybe you could change the Captain hat to Admiral’s hat (or add a boat somewhere, or else). To get the last tent I had to develop a new hero from the scratch to get him water magic.
5. Maybe if you shut off the treasuries in the accessible Rampart towns – the map will be a bit harder. Also, you could add some events in the last blue town for extra creatures (or a grail?) – to add some challenge in the end game.
