Since Estonia is surrounded by other lands, it is pretty hard to be at 1v4 stage and I had a pretty nice challange tbh. Plus some cool battles.
Also start was pretty reasonably rough so I liked it as well.
Played dungeon Ajit 200% and managed to cap Finland before had a great battle against Tartu invading Belarus Daremyth. 50 beholders left from the battle and capped Russia as well.Got some reasonable army now and invaded Belarus so Daremyth was gone. Attacked Kaunas and for my suprise Daremyth was there too. She hid in town and AI got her because taverns ofc xD.
I didnt know it was this hero and I had shackles of war equipped. So I lost Ajit :(. Havent finished the map yet without him now but I will in future. Anyways had a great game so far.
What I didnt like was the terrain. I can understand that you made every country with different color but some players had a terrain speed advantage.
I think mix of a grass with dirt e.g. would have been great!
Also swamp with Fortress e.g.
Secondly I didnt like the shipyard and summon ship mechanics here. Pretty much towns that can build shipyards made a scout and attacked me. So I can get a free boat and attack Finland fast. What if I start with Belarus? I can only use these gates to get out of my area but I wouldnt like to challange azure dragons.
So they'd need some other advantage in front of others.
It is also bad that you get the same quests in each continent. So everyone will have the same artifacts and you get 3 golden bows that you cant put in a good use.
Final thing that I didn't like was Hiiumaa. I went there with secondary hero. Why would you challange 5 azure dragons and 250 nomads to get the shield of the damned? Ok well yeah you can see all map too but it takes all week to get there and back. By that time people have control of atleast half of the map anyways. Artifact merchants you can buy at dungeon or tower towns.
Sorry if there was too much of a bad feedback too but I just see this map a bit rushed and sloppy but still great in its way. Gives a good challange and balance but drawing and pleasure of advancing and discovering is a bit off imo. 8 from me.
