Author: Roboto (United States), 14-08-2023 20:22 Like Wow Air is OP - Battle of the Elements Like the comments have said, 2 of the 4 positions have a way easier time (Earth/Air), but who cares about Rez/TP when with Dimension Door you can conquer brown in Month 1, Week 2/3. Blue made a valiant effort by taking all 4 corners while I was taking out brown but as OP as TP is, nothing can challenge early game Fly/DD.
One of the quickest maps I've ever played on 160%.

I thought it would be a bit difficult without Rez/TP etc. but with berserk/armageddon I was able to win very easily. Stole book of air and titans thunder very early and won on month 3 week 1 day 1 mostly with 20 Phoenix and Armageddon bombs.
My suggestion would be theme it even more, make the home mage guilds only have their element, Fire for Red etc.

3 scholars with earth magic (so we get expert earth magic in 1st turn!!) + tome of earth magic (tp, resurrection, etc.)

The point of the map is having four fractions of magic. Each colour starts with three scholars and a spellbook for either water, fire, wind or earth. If You want a bigger challeng then chooce to start as red og blue. Teal and Green are the easier fractions.

But still, didn't like the advantage of teal/green.
Also brown didn't do any harm. It waited in his zone and he did nothing!
If it was my map, I would delete brown player, made underground similar to the surface and make this map for 8 people players (2 with earth tomes, 2 with air tomes, 2 with fire tomes and 2 with water tomes).
Either way, I liked this map. It reminded me of good old times with Shadows! :)
I would rate it somewhere around 7/10

A dungeon and 8 players could be nice!
Maybu it's just that's bad or unlucky at the game, but I often get smashed by brown. Brown often smashes through the gates.
I can see maps have gotten alot more sofisticated from when i made this map 10+ years ago, so mayby it's time for an update

Unfortunately, I don't know where the problem with brown lies, so I can't help you.
Maps may have gotten more sophisticated, but there's also (unfortunately) a lot of crap. Few people make multiplayer maps anymore. Yours was a fun, sentimental journey to the early 2000s. Keep up the good work!
I just don't know whether to update this one, or maybe You should create something new ;)
