Author: Milos Gajic (Nish, Serbia), 29-09-2016 10:23 You can't do that - ALIENS I read this comment and I tried to make a hero look like UFO but it's not possible because when you create a custom looking hero you have to have both model and animation for it. There is no animation for UFO object. Also, you have to have several model files (check the picture), one that you will use just like when you create any custom object (line one), another for adventure map view (HeroCharacterAdvent ure), and third for battle view (HeroCharacterArena) . Also, you have to have a face texture for your here, both large and small but I guess you could download some random UFO picture. Anyway, I think the real problem here is the adventure map and battle map model file - I have tried just to copy the model file from the first line but the editor wouldn't accept it, so it has to be some different file which does not exist. So in the end I guess you can do this but if you find someone who can do some moding and I'm not even sure they would be able to do it.
In the picture you can see a hero I made to look like a dragon - it is easier to do so because creatures have models, animations and all the other necessary files already built in the game. Even with this, my hero is still flawed as he will attempt ranged attack instead of melee during combat and there's no animation for dragon doing this so hero's animation during battle will freeze for a moment during that ranged attack attempt.

Author: henry spiteri, 29-09-2016 07:58 aliens - ALIENS hi roy you got me there as u said I tried to do something different all the time I originally wanted to do the ufo hero like in some maps but could not so I opted to the closest one that looked like an alien. if anyone knows how to do the ufo hero pls let me know and I will edit the map. tks as always for your input roy hope you enjoy my other maps.
Author: Roy (UK), 28-09-2016 17:48 Confused - ALIENS I know you try and make maps different but having a knight with leadership and light magic does not mix with a Fortress. If it was a Haven town then that would be ok. I cannot see any enjoyment in it due to knight's leveling up gives no benefit to his specialities.
Sory the picture ended up really small here, don't know why. But if you open hero in editor in you'll see what I was talking about in properties tree.

I figured it out, it was really easy. There is already an UFO hero in the game, it is not a custom object. You just place any hero on the map, click on it, then open it's properties tree, click on those three dots in the 'shared' section and scroll around until you find a file named UFO hero. Here's the picture:
