This is a single player map made for ToE 3.1. It contains 3 custom-made creatures which means that it might interfere with other maps/mods and vice versa. Thus, the safest way to play it is to remove other downloaded map from your Maps folder while playing it and remove this map from the Maps folder when you’re done playing it.
Scenario Info:
With the discovery of a new continent, the world is in a state of flux. The dream of a better world has inspired the brave and audacious to leave everything behind and cross the ocean in search of fortune. From the ensuing chaos, five colonies have emerged, each with a different vision of what this new world should be. These ideas cannot coexist for long, and war draws nearer with the passing of each day. Meanwhile, rumors are beginning to spread about powerful native civilizations inland. If they exist, it’s safe to assume that they won’t stay silent for much longer.
Author: avoxx, 20-12-2024 18:01 Really great map - Beyond the Horizon I really liked the map and concept. It is not a "standard" multiplayer map, but rather more campaign-like. Great work with the little missions and the new units!!
I would suggest to play this in normal difficulty tho (i played it in heroic difficulty and by the time i got to the end the human army had two stacks of 500 angels)

hey, thanks man! I'm glad you enjoyed the map! And I think you're right, heroic is probably too difficult for most players, at least on a first playthrough. When I was playtesting, I think I underestimated the difference it makes when you always know where to go. When I reached the end, the angel stacks where usually about 300-350 (the number is based on the week and difficulty), which is pretty doable if you get all the bonuses before taking the fight. So well done for beating 500! That hero has some nasty abilities..

Thanks for your feedback, it’s helpful for me to know what people think about the map. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy it.
After you defeat your 4 neighbors you can unlock a new area (past the cyclops quest) that has all the mines. Until then, you need to manage your resources which should be fine since your town is limited until you defeat them.
Yes, 8 players is a lot, but the 3 AI-only players are locked up until later in the game and they don’t take their turns until you have to fight them, so in the beginning you’re only up against 4 players in a FFA.
