Once, eight kingdoms thrived in isolation, each a gem in its own world. The seas shielded them, mountains crowned them, and forests kept their borders peaceful.
But as merchants dared to travel further and further, and the maps shrank, a golden age of trade began: the wealth of nations exploded, creating an interconnected prosperity.
Yet, envy boiled beneath the surface. Treaties turned to ashes as old prejudices found new fuel. Border skirmishes have now erupted, and alliances have lost their meaning. Even tough an Assembly of Kings was summoned in the great desert city of the Mages to seek a fragile peace, swords are already drawn in the shadows.
