I tried...I walked in front of nothern forest wide step by step but nothing happend! It's because of my game version! In Russia there was two companies who released HOMM V in 2005 - Buka (Russian Company) and Ubisoft (Nival). Buka version (even TOE 3.1) is full compatible with your map but Ubisoft version is not as I can see it. Unfortunately only Ubisoft has released Gold Edition of HOMM V some later with all patches (standard HOMM V in this edituion has already 1.6 version). Buka had not make any releases since 2005! Therefore I have forced to finish my journey on your map...with my great regrets! Best Regards

It does have some incompatibility with later game version (getting moonblade from a nonpassable object most notably). No idea if Gold version changes anything. You may try to walk along forests on your northern borders as the trigger zone is not very wide.

Thank you! Yes, I found this place in your link! But somehow there was the sign "20%" between the letters "h" and "f" in your link instead of just space! I removed those signs and really it works! It should be one block south of what it is so that you can instant travel into the statue and access it. Please fix your maps before publishing them.
Your comment is correct, however, as far as I can tell, there is still a pixel or two finding everything that is solved. Move the mouse very slowly and the horse will lift the hoof)

Where is the Moonblade anyway? - Ruins in the Desert
I searched all of the map and couldn't find the Moonblade. Or the red border guard tent. It said red before yellow but I 'cheated' by sneaking past Blue and using instant travel and the levitation boots to get to the Academy town. Still, I couldn't move further underground because it required the red key and there was no tent of that color anywhere. Am I blind or what?

One bug some others mentioned: moonblade is unreachable in TOE. It needs to be one square south of where it is.
I bypassed using cheatcodes. Otherwise I would've had to edit and start from day 1 :

With patch 1.3 no bugs beside no pic for the boots of lev. Was stuck for a while until I got into buildings:)

One thing that bothered me: can you get the Death riders and the Phoenixs both to goin your army? I feld that there is a secret message in what the old man said, but I could'nt figure it out.

Nice story, nice map. I like the fact the instant travel spell is being used.
One question though. I see many area underworld that I cannot access, even after having entered the pyramid. Is there a way to explore the whole underworld ?

Quick walkthrough for those stuck
I was very new to HOMM5 (perhaps that's why I had trouble in a few spots). But here's a quick guide for those stuck:
1. Find the axe, that's the easy part. Now the game doesn't acknowledge the fact that you did and the wood doesn't part UNLESS you come near it (It's just north of your town, west of stables). (that's where I got stuck first)
2. Capture the 3 towns (2 in northern "Pyramid")
3. To get the moonblade teleport into a stone column with lava flowing from in and move around in there until you find it. (I had to open map editor to find it, as I had no idea those column can be hollow)
3. The boots are in one of the buildings in the desert. I had no clue you could go into them and that's where I got stuck again.
4. After that it's pretty straighforward, go down through the pyramid asking for the 3 artifacts, take out the "guard" for the red keytent, go up, take out the green payer, get phoenixes (somehow I only got 270, vs people here saying they got 600) -> beat blue -> end game
I never got the "end game message" either, but there was just nothing more to do

If it does not trigger on any reason, the final message is final.txt fail in map archive (.h5m is actually .rar).

Got the axe, no problem (although the game doesn't acknowledge the quest as completed, I got the forest to part for me), found a way to get to green, ally with the phoenixes and kick his butt, retook my home, found the three artifacts and explored the area that opens up. (Note, I did it in that order, which I take is not how this stuff is "supposed" to happen.) But now there doesn't seem to be anywhere new to go, there's still a green hero active but I can't find him, there is definitely at least one more cavern in the underground area but I can't seem to access it, not even with Instant Travel. Clues, hints, something I might have missed?

The only annoying thing is looking for the moon blade and I don't think there is a need for 640 Phoenixes at the end of the game.... In any case, it is definitely 10/10

I explored the eastern and northern border but it says I haven't and I never found the enhanced axe although the forest disappeared and I was able to get out of my area. Not entirely playable with ToE (the moonblade cannot be grabed, even after teleportation INTO the statue) ... unless some tricks (I got the artefact with a cheat code in order to continue the map).

I can't find the axe nor figure out what to do about the big gate. I beat the titans in front of it but there does not seem to be any way to open the gate. As far as I can tell I have done everything it's possible to do up to that point. (Also, I can't get to the shipwreck, and there's nowhere I can land the boats other than a few spots on my own side of the river. HELP?

It is inside a big statue in underground. Althouth there may be no visible statue depending on your game patch. Some later patches make the map under some cases completely unplayable and last time I checked, also a good part of decorations were not visible. Sorry about that, but I am too pissed on Ubival and uninterested in H5 to remake a map to suit every patch with mysterious effects on game mechanics. perhaps a final version once they finish the patching...
