Some practical info to guide you on your journey is crucial:
SOLO vs AI: PL 1 against 3&5. Leave out 2,4,6 & 7. (Or 2 vs 4&5).
For greater challenge: Play as 6 or 7. (6 vs 3 & 5) or (7 vs 4 & 5).
MULTIPLAYER: Same setup (play as 1&2 or 6&7) - for simultanious turns most of the game, only keep PL 5 as AI or none at all.
Looking for a memory mentor? Just keep looking, maybe you'll make it that far, but don't cry if you dont...

i tried a single player (2 vs. 3+5).
results:
some fractions are unplayable cuz players 1 and 2 dont have an ore mine till week x.
player 1`s territory was conqueredin the 2nd months. In the 12th/13th/14th week or so the necro reached player 2`s capital, while I (player2) had mighty six lvl7-creatures and I had half of the necros primary points...
furthermore, where to get the twilight mod?
Author: Helena (The Netherlands, Utrecht), 08-10-2010 11:07 Better now I have to take back most of that. I underestimated my own combat skills and even conquered my first castle. It took some effort but we'll see. At least I have (arch)angels now :) Still some guidance could be helpful.

I played as player 1 and closed every other slot but 3 and 5.
Map crashed upon starting.
