There should of been access but the castle is optional and not needed however once you beat the barbarians and beastmasters you will get dimension door and fly so you will be able to go there.

I got fly from the tower town on the same island (only one where you can get Mage guild level 5). So I got it there. Still struggling to get past the Barbarians and Beastmasters - but I am now doing a boring boosting Crag Hack and Gelu's stats to see if they can help (I used sister as a primary but she does not have tactics)

You will get fly and ddoor after the barbarian n beast wins but they are super difficult. The barbs are easier due to the fact they dont have power of dragon father but both i really struggled on and had to let them split and you will need crag for them. Losses are inevitable! I did say the map is super hard and i expect some players just will not be able to finish it alhough the 6k angels will help from the quests nr castle.

But nothing really opened up. So I looked at the map editor and there was supposed to be a mage guild level 4 & 5 build with Town Portal in the starting town - but this never triggered? Lord Haart never held my castle, so I was the owner on day 365 (as it only applies to human players - but I lost it for a day with the earlier attacks - but that should not matter).
So a bit stuck - I was really hoping for TP to save me...

I fast forwarded a bit and it triggered on 14-1-1 (which is day 365, not 13-1-1 like I thought). I always liked the quote - there are only 2 hard problems in programming- naming things and off by one errors!

He may have a difficult route but he does have a quicker route than others. Also you have a decision when you free them which can give some paths a easier time. I left that open for players to decide. Later on if u struggle you can eventually link all 4 heroes and even sister after 12 month.

I am on month 11 week 2 and sister is waiting for someone to find Lord Haart to unlock the portal. Drak is waiting for sister to brin2 halflings (probably something to do with the portal). Flame is collecting creatures and trying to fight the castles after the first 3 and failing miserably (their primary stats is sooo high). So he is really waiting for sister too in all likelihood. Drake is waiting for the elve stacks to reach 4000 so that they can join him and Du is sitting waiting for Flame to kill Catherine. I feel I am still very early in the game (but then again, I am probably the worst player your maps so I will take a looooooooooooong time (I am not afraid to snooze a hero and wait for a big army!).

Once 365 days r up u can scholar tp but also all heroes can be linked the map is insanely difficult i can tell you that.

Anybody does have a hint how to finish these Nagas with Scar Flame at the Garrison...there are 6 stacks each 444 or so and all spells I use kill only a few...no chance, maybe I miss something

In the end I had to throw a magic arrow in there to get an RNG sequence where the same wall is not targeted! But then it was just holding down D and let the towers do their work... [And this time I knew at least how to get past the Champion with a troll!)
