An eight-player map designed to be full of action very early on. There is a portal to each area of control and so you may be attacked by numerous players at the same time.
Author: Dan (UK), 26-05-2016 19:48 Nice - Cutthroat started on heroic with fast and many neutral creatures rate and i got defeated, there is also only one mine near my home town, so it was difficult to progress, some heroes were quite strong and they kept attacking my town..
will start again on normal neutral grow rate.
it's actually a great for me since i don't like dumb AI, it might be 1.8 update that makes AI more active

Each area of control has the same resources -- 1 ore, 1 wood, 1 gold mine and 1 rare resource, all the other stuff is the same as well. Not sure why the AI is aggressive some times and lame at others.

When i started playing, it looked like i could travel to the enemy on the bottom straight, without the portal. Just because there was no hill etc, the landscape looked passable, but path was blocked, so later i found out that the portals were the only way. Other than that, it's great fun. Constant attacks on the castle and so on as soon as i kill the army standing infront of the portal. I managed to survive only because i built the cities defence up and upgraded my heros defence, so it the city could sustain more fleet in the Local Guard. Had to surrender and flee a couple of times in the battles outside of my castle. But as soon as i got the second castle on the bottom, every single enemy stopped traveling much and stood on their own area of control. Dont know why that happened, because my army was rubbish (every enemy right clicking on it was atleast Severe) and the only strongpoint was my own castles Local Guard. So so far i've capture the upper part of the world and heading on to the underworld. Would like to see more small maps like this without portals, keep up the good work (Y) (Y)

I will see what I can do about defining the areas more. Map Editor crashes on me more and more now, especially when trying to add foliage -- trees, brush, rocks, etc-- so I published an as is version without foliage version for now.

Game time is usually less than a month. For some reason, a few of the AI players are not aggressive at all but the map would make for a brief but fast-paced game for human multiplayer matches.
