BUT I CANT. If I split pixes and put them far away from each other, dragon gets morale and kill one of pixes. If pixies put close to each other - Dragon has range. I cant beat Ilona beacuse of this and I slowly think about cheating. I need help ASAP.

The map is marvelous, not too difficult for my taste, however I'm stuck at white tent.
I'm looking at the map in the map editor, and it seems that to get to the tent I need to kill Iona (quest guards with this quest from sides of the tent). However Iona is behind the white gate herself, so I'd have to get behind the white gate to get to the white tent, or so it seems. Any tips?

Yes you are right it was my mistake putting that quest guard there. The map has been updated and that is fixed now. If you don't want to start over i guess you could use the cheat that gives you all of the spells and fly over it. I'm sorry for that. Changing stuff on a complex map can cause things like that to happen.

Thank you for the prompt response! No worries about it, I actually love the map and didn't mind to start it over. I'll download the update later though, for now I just changed that border guard to let Leon in. I feel relieved that I didn't bypass some sort of a challenge this way :)
This is a wonderful map, definitely one of the best I played, if not the best. For some it may seem too easy, I personally didn't find most of the fights challenging at all, but it's exactly what I was looking for being an old fart.
Not sure why this website never registers the ratings I give though :(

The thing you can do to change the rng of the battle is to play a differnt version of heroes. Like HD mod with ticking/unticking hd+ option, hota or use SOD_SP plugin for hd mod.

The trick is that he has pendant of negativity which prevents you from using lightning bolt but if you hypnotize his troops first than you can use lightning bolt on them. Than its just about running away from his troops and having a bit of luck with the rng. Good luck!

And thanks for the map, even though I am not able to continue at the moment, I have at least learned my HMM3 knowledge is rather limited (fill the castle against the rust dragons, use the lightning on the hypnotized creatures with pendant of negativity,... would never came to my mind).

The problem is that you are playing with Hota. The map is not meant for Hota it is for Sod and I don't give any guarantee it is going to work on Hota. So you could restart and play it on the base Sod version or use cheats to bypass that place.

You will get the hat later on. You dont need it at this point because there is a boat near where you fouth Ent Lord. Its kind of hidden. The old comments talk about Andra having the hat because that used to be the case but i changed it because you can screw yourself if you use it early.

Make sure he doesn't split his liches and block them with arcangels or dragons or whatever you can. Then you have to use forcefield to protect your sharpshooters and kill the liches off. It's a tricky fight. Good luck!

--Map Guide--
Important: Play on 200% difficulty!!!
-Ways to Play-
1.Homm3 SoD or Homm3 Complete (from GOG.com)
2.Homm3 SoD + HD mod with HD+ option turned off (it changes terrain and may make the map unbeatable)
3.Homm3 SoD + HD mod with HD+ on + SOD_SP plugin for HD mod (best option for single player imo)
-General Help-
Make saves often.
Make sure to have none or close to none losses on each fight. Especially when it comes to the sharpshooters and arcangels.
Map is not strict about time so don't worry about that but in the first mounth the faster you progress the easier it is. Only the very last fight might become harder the longer you wait.
You can always just wait and get more units if you can't beat a certain fight. Although waiting is not necessary.
Use view air to find hidden artefacts.
There are tips on the map. You just have to find them.
-Hero build-
For Astral it is important to get expert earth before the fight in Ragnar. You can still win without it but it makes th fight much easier.
Also Intelligence is good to have the rest you can go with whatever you get.
For Leon you need to get ballistics and water magic or the map might be unbeatable.
The other 2 skills should be earth magic for mass slow and intelligence for spell points.
You can swap intelligence for some other skill but I really don't recommend not taking the other 3 skills.
