Defeating gnolls - War of the 7 realms
I was stuck for a bit on this as well but it becomes easier once you realize you can use 1 sharpshooter to kite the gnolls around. Just gotta get lucky a tiny bit in that they can't get good morale while you're kiting. Shouldn't take too long however.

use the obstacle at the bottom so that only one golem can attack you at a time you should be able to kill one of them without loosing a vampire

Here is a screenshot of the normal SoD game without any mod or change. As you can see it is possible to cross the lake with boots of levitation. I guess you could be out of movement and that's why you can't cross.

Well apperantly if you play heroes 3 with wine on linux you can get this issue. I suggest trying to play in with hota or try installing SOD_SP plugin for HD mod if thats even possivle with linux

There is a block that you can stand on that only 2 cteatures can attack you at a time. Also use magic arrows. Make sure both vampires survive.

Astral is sitting at Baradia with nowhere else he can go. There is a lake riht there but he has no way to summon a boat.
They are supposed to meet up with each other but I can't figure out how. THe only way I can see (and I have been looking everywhere and trying everything) is to go through the garrison with Leon. But I can't win that fight. I've tried.
I even got to this same spot before and figured I did something wrong so I restarted and here I am stuck in the same exact place. Can someone please throw me a bone here please.
Did give the map 10 tho. It has been really fun up to this point.

There is supposed to be a boat in the lake that Astral can take. You can open the map in the map editor and see it. Is there really no boat? If so i could be that the boat disappears if you buy a boat from the shipyard with Leon.

Well that is probably what happened. I would advise you to not summon a boat and explore the 2 lakes near the fortress town. Instead just give it up to the quest immediately. You will have a chance to explore them later on.
But thanks for pointing that out. I will make a change so it wouldn't be possible to screw yourself in that way.

You control the tower so you can try waiting, defending or attacking one of the 3 targets to alter the RNG. If all of that still results in the wall destruction you can try SOD_SP Plugin for HD Mod and alter the RNG settings. Good luck and have fun!

Looks like the lack of great maps like this made me lost any skill I had in H3 to think things.

Friends, thank you very much!! Then there was another option, I took Astral eagle eye and learned to call the ship. Saved Astral and learned that the portal to the cities. However, the game started to crash, maybe it's a bug or it's the wrong version of WOG I have..

--Map Guide--
Important: Play on 200% difficulty!!!
-Ways to Play-
1.Homm3 SoD or Homm3 Complete (from GOG.com)
2.Homm3 SoD + HD mod with HD+ option turned off (it changes terrain and may make the map unbeatable)
3.Homm3 SoD + HD mod with HD+ on + SOD_SP plugin for HD mod (best option for single player imo)
-General Help-
Make saves often.
Make sure to have none or close to none losses on each fight. Especially when it comes to the sharpshooters and arcangels.
Map is not strict about time so don't worry about that but in the first mounth the faster you progress the easier it is. Only the very last fight might become harder the longer you wait.
You can always just wait and get more units if you can't beat a certain fight. Although waiting is not necessary.
Use view air to find hidden artefacts.
There are tips on the map. You just have to find them.
-Hero build-
For Astral it is important to get expert earth before the fight in Ragnar. You can still win without it but it makes th fight much easier.
Also Intelligence is good to have the rest you can go with whatever you get.
For Leon you need to get ballistics and water magic or the map might be unbeatable.
The other 2 skills should be earth magic for mass slow and intelligence for spell points.
You can swap intelligence for some other skill but I really don't recommend not taking the other 3 skills.
