Isn't it a two way portal (the monolith)? You get em peasants eventually, don't worry about em now. Ignatius is your primary concern here. You should be able to get to him through portal behind double quest towers somewhere in the south-eastern seas..

I admit that there is not much stuff in underground (there was no need to fill it full for this map) but there is everything that is needed for this map! I strongly recommend playing the map and don't mind how it looks on overview. This may not be the longest map there is but it's worth trying...

Altar of sacrifice is a smoke screen; you can't get there no matter what! There is a hidden (some grass/trees on top of it) spot below the altar of sacrifice where you can enter with waterwalk from that small island (peasant quest tower). You have to collect the floatsome just before the spot or you can't enter it.
