There is a event in te water. You will got this artefact there.
Advice: do not trade any artefacts to altar.

I figured it out! I didn't have any quests, been to every possible monoliths and subterranean gates, there were no hidden paths that I haven't found. It was the damn hidden whirlpool that I missed! :)

It was my 6 try to win. I use bersek careffuly, because I needed many spells points . At the beggining I do not shoot with zealots . One shoot about 120 azures. Zealots + clone = 48 shots. 48 * 120= 5760 azures ( i kill the last one ).
Fire element speed 10, azures 9(slow). Fire element immune to fear.

I had to constanly check editor and forums to finish it ..took me 18 months to finish it..only loses were at Vlad Dracula,where i sacrificed 600/1600 chaos hydras to block entrance.
Some advices:
1- you can find a new tome of earth at 4,53,0
2-When exchanging recanter's clock to pass chose the right side,so you don't give later 500 AA to a quest.
3-amulet of undertaker can be found behind seer's hut at 83,27,1.
4-you must assembly the Angellic alliance-2 components are found at events in sea at 58,64,1 and 52,68,1.
5-always check with V key while in new areas,if it seems you're stuck cas water walk,or summon boat to go further.
6-most goodies are hidden behind castles in the game.
7-to defeat devils at 0,0,0 cast summon boat till in places boar in corner.
8-brown key tent is located at 9,0,0:you have to land and water walk to it(there are some oasis and gardens of revelation blocking pat).
9-if you can't land somewhere then return and cast water walk to that location-boat won't fit.
10-about the event "horse on sea"-be sure to have quick combat on otherwise game will crash. cast water walk at 101,6,0 to first landing site(on the reef where the horse for arrival appears).
The single mistake that i made was trying to beat the azures after defeating last green heroes-it's impossible if you trade your orbs of vulnerability.

For example, there is a hidden Tome of Earth but no clues about it at the beginning. And the Tome is very important to have. The mapmaker should have added some signs about it or something like that.
Also, what is the point of the water elementals on sea or using the Admiral's hat at one point? It is clearly just to annoy players.
In addition, there are a lot of one landing tiles. If there would have been few of them, maybe it had been OK. But because of lot of them... Maybe the mapmaker also made them on purpose? I think that any experienced mapmaker know about the spawming monthly creatures. And because the map has full of these landing tiles, there is no doubt that they were made on purpose. Again, just to annoy player.
How about story? Well, not much story in my opinion, the texts seem to be on trolling purpose.
However, I can see that the mapmaker is experienced on map making because some layouts are very nice looking. But because he clearly wants to annoy players with these problems, I would give this map only
3/10
I don't recommend to play the map on vanilla SoD. You are likely to stuck and, therefore, waste many hours. I hope the map will be updated until it is playable though.

Well, I find this map top notch, 20/10 and I played tons of maps. The design is creative, which is the case with 0.00001 of maps only, and for hidden things, I see no problem if you KNOW to play the game.
Of course noobs who never push "V" key to find hidden resources or artifact will complain, but maps designed for noobs are usually...noobish. Here you have a top map, I am sorry for you that you can't feel it.

Well actually I'm pretty experienced in this game, I have played it for many years now. I know about the V-key, I actually found it after reading the your comments on this site so I didn't know until then lol. Regardless of the V-key, the problem is that I didn't know that the artifact was so valuable as Tome. What if it was just a normal item like Dwarven shield? I didn't bother to backtrack because wanted to continue the journey as fast as possible. Of course I could have saved the game and explored it more but it is no fun to save every day. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who think like this...
Any kinds of hints would be better than nothing. As you can see, hardly anyone who plays the map first time knew about the other valuable artifacts like black orb for example in the first area so the problem is universal.

In maps like this usually you need to make use of everything artifacts available, Since there will be an opponent.
Who needs a very specific Build to beat. The only Problem this map bears is that the Landing points are too narrow, man times an imp will be blocking your way...

Hidden objects : It's a very entertaining way to train your exploring skills.
Over-high number of monsters : It's very good, you can prove yourself in these battles.
Summon Boat : If you were smart, not monkeys, you would know that Admiral Hat gives Summon boat, and you can get Admiral Hat in the nearly beginning of the map.
These things are essential in playing HOMM3, and if you noobs don't know them, stop posting stupid comments and votes and go play The Duel (you'll lose there too...)
