The dwarfs are a little tough without losses. Got my experience to around -11,3...I get kind of stuck here though. After trading two Praetorians to get to positive experience, and beating the dragons, I don't really have the money or troops to take the Castle. I haven't played in a while, so maybe I'm rusty, but this a tough start. Any advice?

Err, the castle you can take as soon as you have 4-5 angels, use blind then your archers to dispatch everyone. Don't rush.
Loaded your save, I can upgrade both mithril and money without crash. For Nicolas I gave him a different code, if you really crash each time, come in HC and I will post it there, as mapsforheroes distorts links.

but is 100% era compatible.

Crash log is in your game folder, named HD_CRASH_LOG.txt. If you can upload it somewhere I could look into. And if possible a save too would help.

Do you get some message when it crashes? Check wog crash log please.
Author: Nicolas, 17-08-2016 01:55 Like game crashing - The Empire of the World II -Era Edition I started the game again from zero, this time i loaded the dat file before playing. now the helm of the commander worked ok and i was able to have all skills. but when i tried to buy abilities to the pretorians with mithril, again the game crashed like before (i buy the first ability, it says DONE! and then the game crashes). Do you know why it happens? where is the problem? I have ERA 2.46 that is installed over clean heroes 3 complete.

I had issue with crash when upgrading. Running as administrator fixed the issue. Not sure if that is your problem but it worked for me. Was able to go back to running not as administrator afterwords. Using win7.
Not sure if that is your problem but might be worth a try if you are running win7 and not running as administrator.
To run as administrator, right click and select run as administrator.

is the mod correctly installed? Maps4heroes owner placed the exe in a zip file, so first you have to unzip it on your desktop, then double click on tew2.exe and specify your game path (example C:Heroes 3), thats all.

About necro, well, your choice. Map is tested without necromancy so if you get 1 million skeletons, which you will get because battles are huge, don't complain end is too easy :)

For necromancy, it may come as hidden skill, this is impossible to avoid (1/27 chances) so better refuse it if proposed (it never happened to me but you may never know). Heroes should have an option to entirely remove this skill but atm it doesn't have.

You have two kind of scenarios in wog/era. First is leaving wog options quite free but asks a dat file to load. if you do'nt load this dat, you can use your own wog options, however beware that map wasn't tested with that configuration.
Second, maps as tew4 block all other harmful scripts so even if you enable tew3 while playing tew4, it will do nothing as it has its own list of mods compatible.
And last, you can enabled as many interface/graphic mods as you want when playing a scenario as tew3/etc. Just dont enable another scenario.
And don't use secondary skills scrolling, it has nasty effects on maps which let you learn all skills. Better disable it.

When i played in TEW3 and TEW4 i did the same and it works just fine. is it enough to do it like this? or do you have to load the dat file?

Semgal Khan, no matter what i do he casts mass haste and with stack of 4K nomands with attack twice he kill my whole army. Only AA survives most of cases blinded. I dont know, maybe im too lazy to think after all heroes maps i played.

Actually he is the easiest but looks hard.
use tactics phase to place all your army in the bottom left corner, with archers well protected. Cast force field once either up or right side to not have him attack all the once.
Then is easy, once the nomads attack, blind them one by one, so the other nomads can't reach your army. So you use wall of blinded nomads. Then with archers kill them all, cast also clones on archers, because clones never run out of shoots (you can cast another clone when it does so)
