Recently, a new land called Illuria was discovered east of the Roaring Sea. The new land, which is called Illuria by the natives, turned out to to be rich of resources, and the emperor decided to send one of his retired generals; Lord Bertram, to establish the first human colony in Illuria, which was named New Haven.

Находясь в Империи Грифона, Варенс, обычный священник, изучал библиотеку Когтя. Однажды он наткнулся на свиток, в котором упоминается о Книге Перемен - могущественном артефакте, сотворённом ещё в Эпоху Легенд великими магами исчезнувшего государства Шантири. Свиток, к сожалению, был почти сгоревший и из всего можно было разобрать только строчки, в которых описывалось, что Книгой Перемен пользовался Сар-Илам при сотворении Шио - тюрьмы демонов. Безусловно, столь великий артефакт сможет помочь Империи Грифона в борьбе с мятежниками.
В другом свитке говорилось о том, что Книга находится на сохранение у гномов. Поэтому при первой же возможности Варенс отправляется в Гримхейм под видом свиты Аларика, чтобы разузнать о Книге побольше...
